Assure Your Child

1. Step1Start the Game

   Say: We’re going to play a game to get your room cleaned! I’m going to set a timer for three minutes, and in that time, we’re going to get as many toys/clothes put away as possible. But we have to work together. Ready?

2. Step2Clean the Room

   Work with your child to get as many belongings put away in the three minutes as possible. If there’s more to be done after the three minutes. Set it again.

3. Step3Praise & Prayer

   When the room is clean, thank your child for helping.

   Say: Thank you for helping to clean your room! You know, Jesus can do this for us, too — but on the inside. Sometimes it can feel like there’s a tornado of hurt, sadness and confusion going on in our minds and hearts. But Jesus can help us. This doesn’t mean everything magically goes away, but He can provide peace and comfort when we need it most.
